Just-in-Time Funding
Treehouse will be closed July 1st – July 9th. The last day to submit funding requests for check payments is June 16th. We will continue processing credit card payments up to June 30th. We appreciate your understanding. Please feel free to email us with any questions at [email protected]!
Removing Financial Barriers
Treehouse provides funding for youth in foster care to explore interests and engage in their communities, reducing financial barriers to their personal growth and development. Through Just-in-Time Funding, we are able to fund opportunities such as school and athletic fees, arts and music programs, summer camps and more. For a full list of what we are able to pay for see our Funding Guidelines.
Please note that funding is not guaranteed and payment can take up to 3 weeks. To make a request, simply follow the link below and tell our team what you’re requesting funding for.
Activity Funding FAQ
Just-in-Time Funding supports youth who have been referred to Treehouse, providing financial assistance for academic and extracurricular needs. A full list of what we are able to pay for can be found on our Just-in-Time Funding Guidelines page.
Unfortunately we do not provide funding for on-going transportation needs, rent, bills, family vacations, daycare or private school tuition. A good resource for these types of needs is 211.
You can request funding as you need it, but we cannot guarantee funding for all requests. There are maximum amounts we are able to pay for each item as well as an annual maximum of $2,500 per youth. For more details on how much Treehouse can pay for each type of request, please visit our Just-in-Time Funding Guidelines.
Payments can take approximately 10-15 business days for processing and mailing.
Just-in-Time Funding provides funding either by check, made out directly to the merchant providing the service, or by online credit card payment. Checks can be mailed or picked up in-person at the Treehouse office. For details about reimbursements, please see below.
Treehouse will issue reimbursements by PayPal or check only. All reimbursements require a receipt showing date of purchase, amount and name of vendor. Reimbursement is not guaranteed until a request has been approved. Please contact us if you have any questions about whether a reimbursement would be approved.
No, only youth with a current referral are eligible for Treehouse services.
Summer Camp FAQ
Treehouse can help pay for day or overnight camps, whether they are sports, arts, specialty, adventure or traditional marshmallows-around-the-campfire camps. Please try our camp finder or give us a call at 206.267.5125.
We can help pay for summer leadership opportunities like camp counselor in-training, Washington Business Week and local leadership conferences. We can also help out with paying for summer school to help you get back on track or get a head start on next year.
You do the research to find the camp that’s right for you. Our camp finder can help. It’s your job to find and complete the registration forms. Contact us to get funding approved. Then mail, email or drop off the forms to us, and we’ll send them to the camp, along with a check. If payment can be made online, provide us with the information we will need to pay by credit card online.
