Treehouse provides funding for youth in foster care to explore interests, excel in their academics, and engage in their communities—important experiences every young person needs and deserves.
Just-in-Time Funding makes it possible for youth to feel like their peers and explore their identity. We know things are more than just things and experiences are priceless—especially for youth in foster care.
We want to help youth make memories, whether that’s paying for:
The process can take three (3) weeks or longer, so be sure to make a request well in advance! Eligible youth and their caregivers can fill out our online form to tell our team about what you’re requesting funding for. Our staff will be in contact to advise or process your funding request.
For approved funding requests, we provide payment by check or credit card to the merchant providing the service or by reimbursement to the youth or caregiver.

Please note: we do not provide funding for on-going transportation needs, rent, bills, family vacations, daycare, private school, or college tuition.
You can request funding as needed, but we cannot guarantee funding for all requests.
There are maximum amounts for each type of request, as well as an annual maximum of $1,500 per youth. For more details on funding limits, please see our Just-in-Time Funding Guidelines.
Please submit your request at least 3 weeks before payment is needed.
Payment processing usually takes 3–5 business days or longer. If funding is delivered via check, it may add 10 days to the process.

Yes. Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 60 days of service or purchase. Please note: reimbursement is not guaranteed until a request has been submitted and approved.

No, only youth with a current referral are eligible for Treehouse services.
We can help pay for summer leadership opportunities like camp counselor in-training, school organized trips, local leadership conferences, and school sports camp. We can also pay for summer school to help youth get back on track or get a head start toward next year.
