Giving Kids a Childhood

Treehouse creates opportunities for youth in foster care to explore interests, engage in their communities and removes any barriers to their success. Through Just in Time Funding, formerly Little Wishes, we are able to fund opportunities such as:

  • School fees (like ASB cards, lab costs, graduation needs, dance tickets, etc.)
  • Athletics
  • Art and music programs
  • Driver’s education
  • Skill/certification classes
  • Summer camp
  • Events celebrating the culture of their family of origin
  • Multitude of other academic and extracurricular activities

In addition, youth in Treehouse’s Graduation Success program who live outside of King County can submit a request for clothing, school supplies and other essentials.

Summer Camp FAQ

What kinds of summer camps are available?

Treehouse can help pay for day camps or overnight camps, whether they are sports, arts, specialty, adventure or traditional marshmallows-around-the-campfire camps. Please try our camp finder or give us a call at 206.267.5125.

What summer opportunities are good for older kids and teens?

We can help pay for summer leadership opportunities like camp counselor in-training, Washington Business Week and local leadership conferences. We can also help out with paying for summer school to help you get back on track or get a head start on next year.

How do I coordinate summer camp or program registration with Just-in-Time funding?

You do the research to find the camp that’s right for you. Our camp finder can help. It’s your job to find and complete the registration forms. Contact us to get funding approved. Then mail, email or drop off the forms to us and we’ll send them to camp along with a check. If payment can be made online, provide us with the information we will need to pay by credit card online
