Treehouse creates opportunities for youth in foster care to explore interests, engage in their communities and removes any barriers to their success. Through Just-in-Time Funding, formerly Little Wishes, we are able to fund opportunities such as:
- School fees (like ASB cards, lab costs, graduation needs, dance tickets, etc.)
- Athletics
- Art and music programs
- Driver’s education
- Skill/certification classes
- Summer camp
- Events celebrating the culture of their family of origin
- Multitude of other academic and extracurricular activities

Activity Funding FAQ
Just-in-Time Funding supports Treehouse referred youth by providing financial assistance to remove barriers to academic and extracurricular needs. Examples of items and services we can help pay for include:
- School fees (like ASB cards, lab costs, graduation needs, dance tickets, etc.)
- Athletics
- Art and music programs
- Driver’s education
- Skill/certification classes
- Summer camp
- Events celebrating the culture of their family of origin
- Multitude of other academic and extracurricular activities
Unfortunately we do not provide funding for on-going transportation needs, rent, bills, family vacations, daycare or private school tuition. A good resource for these types of needs is 211.
You can request Just-in-Time Funding as you need it, but we cannot guarantee funding for all requests.
Payments can take approximately 10-15 business days for processing and mailing.
Just-in-Time Funding provides funding either by checks made out directly to the merchant providing the service or by online credit card payment. Checks can be mailed or picked up in person at the Treehouse office.
No, Just-in-Time Funding cannot refund caregivers or businesses for activities that have already started without prior approval.
No, only youth with a current referral are eligible for Treehouse services.
Summer Camp FAQ
Treehouse can help pay for day camps or overnight camps, whether they are sports, arts, specialty, adventure or traditional marshmallows-around-the-campfire camps. Please try our camp finder or give us a call at 206.267.5125.
We can help pay for summer leadership opportunities like camp counselor in-training, Washington Business Week and local leadership conferences. We can also help out with paying for summer school to help you get back on track or get a head start on next year.
You do the research to find the camp that’s right for you. Our camp finder can help. It’s your job to find and complete the registration forms. Contact us to get funding approved. Then mail, email or drop off the forms to us and we’ll send them to camp along with a check. If payment can be made online, provide us with the information we will need to pay by credit card online
