Expedia, Treehouse Partner for Back-to-School Season and Beyond
Expedia employees have participated in Treehouse donation drives since 2012, collecting high-quality items for us to distribute in the Treehouse Store.
Expedia’s Volunteers Committee is particularly passionate about education.
“Everybody deserves to get school supplies just like we did,” said Quenita Dich, Salesforce Systems Administrator and Volunteers Committee Lead at Expedia. “It’s really important for youth in foster care. We all want to fit in on that first day.”
The resources and tools Treehouse provides make it easy for them to set up donation drive drop-off bins and information on every floor of the company.
“It’s simple and easy. Employees who are already doing some back-to-school shopping pick up extras and drop them off,” Quenita said.
In addition to taking part in donation drives, Expedia employees have volunteered in the Treehouse Store as part of the company’s “Day of Caring.” They’ve also given financial contributions—Expedia matches employee donations—and held a holiday wreath auction fundraising event.
“We believe in what Treehouse does,” Quenita said. “The volunteers love going to the store and learning more about Treehouse.”
Expedia employees often attend our fundraising events, including Taste for Treehouse and our Champions Luncheon.
“We’re very impressed with how Treehouse runs all of their initiatives,” Quenita said. “Learning how the students have benefited from working with Treehouse is great.”
