The Spokesman-Review: Mentoring Lifts the Grades of Foster Care Kids Failing School
Brittany Wells is a graduation success coordinator for Treehouse, a nonprofit that provides support for foster students in some of the state’s biggest high schools. The organization started in Seattle, and moved into Spokane and Tacoma last year. Statewide, it provides services for about 7,000 foster children, and Treehouse specialists worked with 86 of the 97 Spokane high school students in foster care last academic year. Read More >>
