Toya (she/her) brings over 20 years of experience providing fiscal, strategic and operational leadership to human services nonprofit organizations. Toya most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer of the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago and previously served as the Chief Finance and Operations Officer for the Chicago Child Care Society (Currently known as Family Focused), Illinois’ oldest nonprofit child welfare provider.
Toya brings a deep passion and commitment to foster care and education in both her professional and personal lives, having served as a specialized foster parent for over a decade. She also has experience in advocacy and policy work, serving on the Child Care Association of Illinois public policy committee (2016-2018) and serving as Vice President of Political Awareness and Involvement for Joliet Area South Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporation (2014-2016). Toya holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Distinguished Leader Certification from the University of Michigan Ross Business School. Her previous positions include a variety of nonprofit and corporate organizations as well.
