Meet Treehouse’s 2024 Graduates!
Bring on the pomp and circumstance for Treehouse’s graduating class of 2024! Finishing high school is a special milestone, but it’s even more so for students in foster care.
We’re proud of these young people who come from every corner of the state and are honored to share what graduation means to them and what they envision for their future.
2024 Graduates
Aaliyah, Issaquah High School
In 10 years, I see myself being either a translator or an English teacher in Japan hopefully.
Alexa, Shorecrest High School
Graduation isn’t just important to me. It’s important to my family and who I’m going to become.
Amelia, Southbridge High School
My grandparents have been a big part of me getting to this goal because they’ve always motivated me, especially when I was in a really dark place and didn’t think I could do it myself. They have been very helpful for that.
Angela
Graduation is important to me because I will be the first of my family to ever graduate high school.
In 10 years, I see myself finished with school, finished with college. I plan on moving back to home in Arizona. I want to eventually open up my own shop in cosmetology and basically, be able to be that person to make a change and help people boost their confidence.
Dominique
I feel like graduating is not only the first step, but it’s also that accomplishment that you can tell everyone that I graduated with going to high school and putting all my credits in and putting all that hard work to show off that you are not your family and you are not their representation of them, but your representation of yourself.
Dylon, Marysville Getchell High School
Treehouse has been an important part of getting me to this goal because at certain times, I have not even known what to do to be on track and to help provide the help I needed.
Esteban, Lake Stevens High School
In 10 years, I see myself being an esteemed detective in a big city.
Eyuphan, Centralia High School
Graduating is important to me because it was my first goal and I finished it now. So I can move on to my second step.
Izzy, Nova High School
The reason why I am wanting to graduate is so I can eventually get my own house and start making my own money.
Jalisha, Renton High School
But I feel like Amy [Treehouse Education Specialist] has been a really important person in my life because she’s been with me ever since I was in middle school . . . She’s been really funny and great to talk to you and a really good person who voices what I say when my voice isn’t loud enough . . .
Karyn, Mount Rainier High School
In 10 years, I see myself as working as a registered nurse.
Graduating is important to me because not many people I know have graduated.
Levi, Auburn High School
Graduating is important to me because I’ve been working hard for it.
Mejdi, Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School
In 10 years, I see myself pursuing my dream career as psychologist and helping people around the world with their cognitive and emotional behaviors, along with their mental state.
Michelle, Centralia High School
Graduating is important to me because it’s a goal that I’ve been having a long time since I’ve been out of the hospital, and it will give me a better future.
Nevaeh, Kennewick High School
Completing my work and getting involved [in school] has been an important part of getting me to [this goal] because I was going through a lot of changes in my life, and staying focused helped me continue getting good grades and staying on top of things.
Sajad, Centralia High School
A part of me being able to get closer to this goal has been hard work, because without hard work, it’s hard to achieve anything. And if you need help, you have to always ask for help.
Tina, Renton High School
When I see myself in 10 years, I want to see myself as being a digital artist and creating my own anime.
Zoey, Mark Morris High School
In 10 years, I see myself being a NICU nurse helping the little babies get home to their families all healthy. I’m very excited. Thank you!
