Treehouse Youth Set Goals for 2019
The new year is upon us, and many people are making personal resolutions to better themselves. Treehouse’s Graduation Success program facilitates goal-setting throughout the year for the youth we serve. The program currently serves 924 youth throughout Washington state.
Here are a few goals our youth have set for 2019:
“I’m going for a new look next year so I’m going to shave off my facial hair and get in the habit of keeping it up every two weeks.”
“I’ve always wanted to be a straight-A student, so this is my goal for freshman year.”
“I want to transfer to Central Washington University as a junior this spring and be enrolled in CWU’s Aviation Program.”
Like our students, we also set goals for our organization. Treehouse’s goal is: “By 2022, youth in foster care across Washington state will graduate from high school at the same rate as their peers, with support and a plan to launch successfully into adulthood.”
We won’t achieve this without community support. We invite you to join our youth and the rest of Treehouse in reaching our goal.
