Host a Drive or Event

Rally Your Network to Support Treehouse

Thanks to our donors, Treehouse has expanded our programs statewide, serving more youth than ever!

This year, Treehouse will work with thousands of youth across Washington, providing high-quality essentials, individualized academic support, as well as funding positive experiences that we hope lead to identity development and help youth lead successful lives.

Help support Treehouse by hosting a material drive, fundraiser, or both!

The items collected through drives keep our free store stocked with essential clothing and supplies, while fundraisers help us ship goods to youth in foster care statewide and continue providing our vital programs.

Event Inspiration

Craft for a Cause

Are you a culinary crafter? Jill and Micaela, a mother-daughter team who love to cook, decided to try their hands at raising a little dough to help kids in foster care. They asked their friends and family to submit their favorite recipes, compiled them into a cookbook and sold it to support Treehouse. The result? A fun and fulfilling project that was so successful, they’re now working on a second edition. Whether it’s through cooking, baking or other creative endeavors, there are endless ways to get involved and make a difference for young people in foster care.

Casual Friday

Think outside the suit! For staff in the Seattle office of Marsh USA, casual Friday is more than a fashion statement – it’s an opportunity to change lives. Every Marsh employee who chooses to wear jeans on Fridays donates five dollars to the Denim Days fund. Each month, a local organization is selected from employee suggestions to receive the funds. Treehouse was the lucky beneficiary of a denim dividend!

Birthdays with Heart

Teach your kids the joy of giving back! When Jackson turned eight, he decided to make his birthday party about more than just cake and presents. He asked his friends to bring gifts for youth in foster care, and together they made a big impact. Jackson and his parents personally delivered the gifts to Treehouse, where he toured the store and saw firsthand the difference he made in the lives of others. It was a birthday he’ll never forget!

Host a Drive

Host a Drive

Organize a one-day or months-long event to collect supplies for our free store and make a real difference in the life of a young person in foster care!

  1. Get started! Sign up to host a drive!
  2. Review our Critical Supply Needs and quality requirements. Please note which items we require to be donated new and ensure your drive participants understand our donation policy.
  3. Determine your strategy! Will your drive focus on collecting just one item, like jeans or sneakers? Or will you be collecting several of the items we currently need?
  4. Tap into your network! Rally your book club, soccer league, church group or friends to participate and promote your drive. Build excitement (and friendly competition) by establishing a donation goal to encourage further participation. Check out our Host Outreach Kit for more helpful tools.
  5. Encourage participation outside of your local network. Anyone can buy items from the Treehouse Wish List and ship goods directly to Treehouse Store, 2100 24th Ave S, Suite 100, Seattle, WA, 98144
  6. Schedule a time to drop off your drive items at the Treehouse Store in Seattle.

And if you have any questions or need assistance, our team is here to help! Contact us at [email protected], and we’ll happily provide you with the support you need to make a meaningful impact.

So why wait? Start planning your material drive today and help us ensure that every youth in foster care has the support and resources they need this winter.
