Olivia Thai – Casey Family Programs

Olivia Thai is currently the Research Specialist on the Strategic Engagement and Initiatives team at Casey Family Programs within the Office of the CEO. Olivia supports initiatives and partnerships across the country that work to advance Casey’s mission to provide, improve and ultimately prevent the need for foster care as well as efforts to build Communities of Hope for children and their families.

Prior to her role at Casey Family Programs, Olivia served as the statewide Program and Development Manager with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington State. In addition to the field of youth development, she has also worked in community with grassroots organizations supporting families of color and in the field of local, regional and statewide policy advocacy, advancing legislation impacting children and families. Olivia is passionate about bridging the gaps between individuals, communities and the systems that impact child and family well-being. She is a member of the steering committee of the Seattle Chapter of Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy and also serves as a mentor to undergraduate students through the Career & Internship Center at the University of Washington.

Olivia was born and raised in Kennewick, WA and holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Washington as well as a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington School of Social Work with a focus in administration and policy practice.
