Nick Brown


Nick Brown is a Partner with Pacifica Law Group LLP, where he focuses on assisting public and private clients with complex civil, municipal law, public policy and political matters. He is a former Army JAG attorney who spent six years in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Seattle, and served as the General Counsel and principal legal advisor to Washington Governor Jay Inslee from 2013-17. He holds a bachelor’s in Political Science and Government from Morehouse College and earned his Juris Doctorate  from Harvard Law School.

As an attorney with sixteen years of legal experience, Nick has strong connections to the legal communities across the state. He is very familiar with the legislative and policy-making process and will bring insight in those areas to the Board. Nick is also board member of the Washington Leadership Institute and the Campaign for Equal Justice. He is co-chair of the Federal Judicial Selection Committee for the Western District of Washington and serves as a Commissioner on the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission. Nick and his spouse Kara have two children and live in West Seattle.
