Entercom Seattle, Treehouse Continue Partnership with Deck the Hall Ball

By Jesse Colman, Treehouse Marketing Intern

Chances are you’ve listened to 99.9 KISW, 100.7 The Wolf, 107.7 The End or the new Hot 103.7. These stations are all part of Entercom Seattle, a local radio company that serves the Seattle-Tacoma area and is making positive impacts in our community.

Since 2015, Treehouse has been invited to be the beneficiary of a variety of Entercom events such as their “Bourbon & Bacon Festival,” “Tequila & Taco Fest” and “Deck the Hall Ball.” We recently spoke with Brian Thorpe, Marketing Director at Entercom Seattle, to learn more about how and why our partnership got started.

How did Entercom get connected with Treehouse?

Our initial connection to Treehouse came through the Vitalogy Foundation. We were working with them on some of our summer shows like 99.9 KISW’s Pain in the Grass and 107.7 The End’s Summer Camp. We immediately loved Treehouse and all the great things they do for children in foster care.

Why did Entercom choose Treehouse to be a beneficiary for these events?

When looking for nonprofits, we try to find one that is trustworthy and making a big impact in the community. Treehouse has a great reputation. There is nothing but great things said about the work you do and how you make our community better for children in foster care. I think this is very important work. We have people that work at Entercom Seattle who were in foster care, so the cause was close to them, and they were excited about working with Treehouse.
