Educational Success Program
WHAT WE DO
Treehouse educational success programs provide comprehensive educational support. These services are available to all children living in King County in out-of-home care, including those living with relatives other than birth parents. See our complete eligibility guidelines. Treehouse coaches, tutors and advocates work together to provide seamless support, tailored to individual students' needs.
COLLEGE and CAREER PLANNING
College and Career Planning starts planting the seeds for college and career choice early, delivering a clear and consistent message to foster kids: college and a successful careeer are for you.
TUTORING
The Tutoring Program provides opportunities for youth after school and in several Seattle area schools to work with educators on homework, classwork, and remedial skills. Learn more about Treehouse In-School and After-School Tutoring.
ED SUCCESS ADVOCACY
Tutors and trained advocates work with schools, social workers, foster families and students to resolve difficult issues and remove barriers to foster kids’ school success.
Foster Care Fact
-
Foster youth who move through many home placements are 5 to 10 times more likely to become involved with the juvenile justice system than their peers in the general population.
