While Treehouse staff comes from a diverse range of backgrounds, all share a deep commitment to a common interest: helping kids in foster care succeed in school and in life. Our staff and volunteers improve educational outcomes for youth in foster care by providing direct service education support and access to essential needs that all kids equally deserve to develop into healthy adults. We also work at the legislative level to help develop, lead, and pass landmark reforms to reduce the inequities in the system that limit our youth from achieving their full potential.
We have been working in strategic partnership with Washington DSHS Children’s Administration to address the critical needs of children living in foster care for more than 25 years, and have a big goal for the future: to ensure that students in foster care in King County graduate from high school at the same rate as their peers by 2017. We are a group of dedicated staff and volunteers, working collectively and collaboratively with our many partners and supporters to reach this vital goal!
If you share our values and are inspired to join us in our mission to give foster kids a childhood and a future, we invite you to explore the job descriptions in the Job Openings link above, and determine if you have the key knowledge, skills and abilities to apply for one of our openings.
